sp-EGG-tacular

My egg is named story, and there are two sides of him. He is lined in shades of grey, cleverly disguised as duck tape.

I came to my decision on what to do with my egg by accident. I had my initial idea of some sort of paradox or statement. I was going to blow out the insides first, because I couldn’t write on my egg without the ink smearing due to condensation. But, as fate would have it, the egg cracked and ended up resembling pac-man. Hence the duck tape. I figured it was best to just run with the original egg and see what happens. The tape divides the egg into four sections. One strip goes around it lengthwise, and the other around the width, (widthwise?). Just to be funny, in one section I wrote “I came first”, then decided to write the opposite on the other side. ( Get it like two sides of the story?) But then that led me to a deeper sentiment on an issue close to my heart. so on the bottom half of the egg, I wrote “I am Pro-Choice” and “I am Pro-life” on their corresponding sides. So. you have my egg, Story. And I kinda wonder….what’s its side of the story?

For one, I don’t say this often but the class worries me. I’m simultaneously excited and concerned.
I am a person who likes structure. Just with some creative license.

I don’t do well with confusion or not knowing what is expected of me. So in that capacity I expect to push some of my own boundaries. However, I love the feel of camaraderie and the open forum of the class, and I honestly believe that I will enjoy myself in the exercises. While I am a Media Arts major, I thought it was very refreshing to not be bounded by a computer screen, like I am in most of my other NEW-N Courses.

So in short, I have no expectations because you can’t expect the unexpected.
